Universal 15 hour 3 year old funding

All children are eligible for Nursery Education Funding from the Government, from the term after their third birthday.

Child’s birthday Funding available
1st January to 31st March The beginning of term on or after 1st April
1st April to 31st August The beginning of term on or after 1st September
1st September to 31st December The beginning of term on or after 1st January

The funding covers up to 15 hours per week, over two or three days during term time (38 weeks), OR two sessions of five hours per week, all year (51 weeks). All funded places are subject to availability.

Some families that receive certain benefits may be eligible for funding for two year olds. Please get in touch with your local Children’s Centre to find out more.
