About our Nursery

Working together to support & develop your child

We really value close partnerships with our parents; after all, you are the expert when it comes to your child! We spend a lot of time developing positive relationships with all of our parents, to help us share as much information as possible.

We run parent’s evenings twice a year, and we encourage you to take this time to meet your child’s Key Person, talk to them about their progress, celebrate achievements, set learning and development goals, and discuss any concerns you may have.

Each child has an online Learning Journal, where we record your child’s progress. Parents often tell us how much they value these insights into what their little ones get up to, and especially love photos of the child enjoying activities, and examples of their art work. We regularly share these photos and videos with the children too, to help them celebrate their achievements by looking at and talking about what they’ve done.

Our observations are regularly assessed, to monitor your child’s development, and map their progress against the Early Years Foundation Stage’s seven learning areas. Soon, we will be inviting parents to securely log on to their child’s file, to add observations and photos of home activities so we can talk about them at nursery.

Naturally we give feedback at the end of each session, and we encourage parents to share their WOW moments with us. A WOW moment is quite simply something that makes you say ‘Wow”, like first steps, first words, the first time they use a potty or share toys. Just jot it down on the form you’ll find in Reception, and your Key Person will add it to your child’s Learning Journal. We’ll use this information to plan activities tailored to their progress and interests, and helps us celebrate their achievements with you.

We have an open door policy, so you are always welcome to meet us and talk through any concerns or suggestions.

  • "I would recommend this nursery as they are committed to children’s education, my daughter has been there 8 months and is coming on in leaps and bounds."
